Board of Directors & Officers President- June McMahon | June Rothenberg McMahon was born to deaf parents in New York City. She attended JHS 47, an oral day school then attended public schools. She graduated from Gallaudet University in 1974 and also has a Masters Degree from Western Maryland College. She worked at the American School for the Deaf and public Schools in Connecticut as a teacher and assistant principal. She also taught in Public schools in Broward and Palm Beach before retiring in December, 2008. Her leadership experiences started with the Junior National Association of the Deaf. She held several leadership positions at Gallaudet University including being President of the Student Body Government. She was also President of the Connecticut Association of the Deaf. June is also on the board of the Gallaudet University Alumni Association. June resides in Boynton Beach with her husband Robert and two Boston Terriers. |
| |  Vice President - Lissette Molina | Lissette Molina was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Gallaudet University with a BA degree in Psychology. Lissette attended Barry University in Miami studying a dual-Master's program in both Mental Health and Family & Marriage Counseling. Formerly a middle-school teacher of the deaf and students with special needs in the Miami-Dade Public Schools, and an Outreach Specialist for MCI Global Relay, she is now currently living in Miami, FL.
In 2001, Lissette was crowned Miss Deaf Florida and competed in the Miss Deaf America Pageant. She is currently serving as Vice President for Florida Association of the Deaf. |
|  Secretary- Hilary Ainbender | Hilary attended New Jersey School for the Deaf. She graduated from Gallaudet with a major in English and a minor in Education and received a Masters degree in Deaf Education from Western Maryland College now known as McDaniel College. Her job experiences included teaching English at Wisconsin School for the Deaf, Delavan, Gov. Baxter School for the Deaf, Portland, Me and M.Sterck School for the Deaf in Newark, Del. She was an English instructor at Gallaudet University for 16 years prior to her retirement. She also directed school plays at all three schools and coached cheerleading for 15 years. Besides teaching English, she taught sign language and interpreting classes in school and at University of Delaware and sign language classes at various colleges in D.C. and Maryland. She was a recipient of Delaware Quota Club Woman of the Year and the National Phi Kappa Zeta Woman of the Year respectively. Here in Florida, she has been teaching sign classes privately and in school . She taught sign classes & interpreting at PBCC for three years. She has been involved in many organizations. She was instrumental in establishing the first DAD (Delaware Association of the Deaf), former president of DC Chapter of GUAA, Secretary of PBCAD, to name a few. She was also the state director of both Delaware and Maryland pageants and was one of the national judges of the Miss Deaf America pageant. Besides Secretary of FAD, she is currently president of Southeastern Florida of GUAA. She was a certified RSC (Reverse Sign Communication) and coordinator of interpreting program/testing, etc. in Delaware

|  Treasurer- David Tropp | David was born in Newark, New Jersey. He attended the Lexington School for the Deaf and Public School 47 in New York City. He retired after working with the Post office for 30 years.
David Tropp was the treasurer of the ski club in New Jersey and treasurer for the Palm Beach Association of the Deaf.
David resides in Delray Beach with his wife Dolores. His daughter Darlene graduated from Gallaudet University in 2004. She works as a Vet Technician for the Animal Health Center and lives in Washington D. C.. His son Donald graduated from Galladuet University in 2006. He works as a Human Resources Manager for Viable and is living in Maryland.
